Dionne Clabaugh

Dionne Clabaugh has worked in early childhood education since 1982 as a teacher, director, parent volunteer, family child care owner, school board member, and education projects coordinator. Some of the projects were implementing music, ceramics, and art programs, redesigning indoor and outdoor learning environments, and enhancing a parent education program.

Dionne also teaches early childhood education courses in curriculum, early intervention, and child development at De Anza College and Mission College, and previously taught similar courses at Gavilan College starting in 1999. She has earned a bachelor’s degree in music therapy, a master’s degree in organization development for educational programs, and will soon complete a doctoral degree in learning and instruction for teacher education and technology in higher education.

Dionne is a gardener and a quilter, has been happily married for over 20 years, and has two wonderful children, both entering college in fall 2012.
